The House Mormont She-Bears are powerful warriors from Bear Island that can reduce the resolve of their enemies while keeping their own.

House Baratheon is well known for equipping their troops in some of the heaviest armor found on the battlefields of Westeros. While other Houses might also do this for their frontline combat troops or heavily-barded cavalry, House Baratheon’s zeal for heavy armor even extends to their support units. The R’hllor Lightbringers are some of the most heavily armored archers that will take to the field. Though most enemies are more concerned with the flaming arrows they fire rather than the armor they’re wearing. The R’hllor Lightbringers unit box for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game gives House Baratheon players a new ranged unit to add to their forces. Loyal to Stannis Baratheon, they are some of the most heavily armored ranged units in the game. And their flaming arrows are certainly to not be overlooked, either.

The crew of Silence, a ship of the Greyjoy fleet, is made up of mutes with extraordinary martial prowess.

Stark Faction Pack

The R’hllor Faithful bring their conviction in their god to the battlefield in service of Stannis Baratheon. These holy warriors anoint their blades in sacred oils and set them alight, causing vicious wounds with each slash. Whenever their faith is tested, they only become more deadly to the enemy. Accompanied to battle by a Red Priestess, a unit of R’hllor Faithful is ready to stand against any foe. The R’hllor Faithful unit box for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game gives House Baratheon players a new, faithful unit to add to their ranks. Their burning blades deal terrible wounds to enemy forces with each slash, going through armor easily. The unit can also gain Faith tokens for passing Morale tests, letting them gain access to new special abilities during the fight. The unit comes with the Red Priestess unit attachment, who can send terror through enemy ranks.

When it comes to House Lannister, they spare no expense on those that take up arms for the House. The Red Cloaks are the Lannister’s elite guards that patrol the streets in both King’s Landing and Casterly Rock. Their resplendent red cloaks, their signature feature, is coloured not just because it’s a House color, but as a show of intimidation to the populace. “Stay in line, or the Red Cloaks will come after you."

The Red Cloaks unit box for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game gives House Lannister players a new medium infantry unit for their force. The Red Cloaks are armored in half-plate, the best that money can buy for mass production. This gives them a modicum of defense, able to turn away blows from all but the strongest enemy soldiers. Being paid well also serves them on the battlefield, as they know they don’t want to lose that next paycheck.

Targaryen Faction Pack

There are many strange creatures that live north of the Wall. Most people in Westeros could only dream of giant, furry elephants covered in armor and spikes trampling through a battlefield. Unfortunately for the enemies of the Free Folk, these War Mammoths are very much real, and they are coming south with the rest of the Free Folk forces. The War Mammoths unit box for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game gives Free Folk players massive new figures that they can add to their forces. The Free Folk are already known for their unconventional units, and the War Mammoths are no different. Their huge bulk makes them tough to take down and Free Folk commanders can target their destruction, letting them rampage all across enemy units. Just be careful, a spooked Mammoth in the middle of a battle line can be dangerous to both sides of the fight.

When people along the coast see the banner of the Kraken, they pray that the Blacktyde Chosen aren’t the ones coming ashore. Not your average raider, the Blacktyde Chosen are kitted out in more sturdy armor, large round shields, and armed with master crafted axes. Their extensive training means they can take charge of a situation, no matter what it is.

Neutral Faction Pack

As Daenerys Targaryen sweeps across Essos with her Dothraki army, she has been freeing thousands of slaves as she defeats those that stand against her. It was not originally her intention to have them join her army, but many have willingly taken up arms and are eager to help their liberators conquer more territory. However, this rag-tag group of fighters aren’t officially outfitted or trained. They carry simple farming implements turned into arms. They are clad in nothing but the rags on their backs. However, they can still turn the tide of a battle if placed where needed at the right time. The Freedmen unit box for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game gives House Targaryen players a new option for their forces. While the Freedmen aren’t the strongest fighters on the field, they are able to plug gaps in battle lines and hold back enemies hopefully long enough for more seasoned and better equipped fighters to help them out. When seconds matter in a battle, the Freedmen can give House Targaryen the time they need.

Everyone in Westeros knows of The Wall and the stalwart Night’s Watch that mans it. Slightly less well-known is what are on the flanks of the towering edifice. To the West, there’s the Shadow Tower. There, the brothers in black specialize in wielding spears, making them masters at defending against flanking maneuvers of enemy fast-attack.

These troops train ceaselessly with their long spears, making them capable of inflicting severe damage on anyone foolish enough to try and charge them. They also know that their duty is to never break and run, standing unyielding against any enemy.

There are an unknown number of tribes that live north of the Wall. These tough and hardy people will often form up and head south, looking for more hospitable land to call their own. Unfortunately, there’s usually already people occupying that land. So, the Free Folk must be willing to fight for it. While mostly a motley crew, there are still tribal chiefs and other veterans that have honed their skills against the terrors in the far north. They bring that expertise to whatever unit they join up with.

The Free Folk Attachments #1 box set gives Free Folk players in the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game a host of new options for when they’re building their army. It contains 12 new attachments that players can use to bolster their different units, giving them new abilities and orders. These new figures are a perfect way to customize a force to a player’s particular strategy.

House Baratheon’s battle doctrine is fairly simple: be strong like iron. They outfit their troops in heavy armor at every level and arm them with the House’s signature warhammer. While this heavy kit does slow down troop movements, the tenacity of their defenses can usually see them through. The Baratheon Wardens are the main infantry unit that the House uses, fielding many ranks of these rough and rugged fighters.

Clad in plate mail and carrying heavy shields, they have a good Defense Save stat, though all of that does slow them down. Their heavy warhammer attacks can crush the enemy’s spirit as much as it can crush their bones. Defending against these pounding attacks can leave enemy troops gasping for air as the strength is sucked from them.

In the far North, the brotherhood of the Night’s Watch keep an eye on any terrors that would assault Westeros. They are the unwanted. The lower sons, the criminals, the bastards, the outcasts. But in the Night’s Watch, they find a place and a purpose. Outfitted with rugged, warm armor and massive swords, they fight against Wildings and any other horrors with stoicism born of hard training.

The Sworn Brothers unit box forms the core force for the Night’s Watch in the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game. Their strong armor deflects blows and their training keeps them from running off easily. On the offensive side of the scales, their prowess with the greatsword is second to none, dealing critical strikes and sundering even the toughest enemy armor. Meanwhile, the Watch Captain Attachment lets the unit have two Vows assigned to the unit at a time.

After the death of Robert Baratheon, House Baratheon became a House divided. Robert’s brothers, Stannis and Renly, both decided that they should be the next one to sit on the Iron Throne. As such, different groups have thrown in their loyalty with one or the other. House Tyrell, one of House Baratheon’s most staunch supporters, has chosen to place their faith in Renly, offering their stalwart Highgarden Pikemen to his cause.

The soldiers train relentlessly, able to bring their strength to bear on enemies. And such is their conviction, that troops can continue to fight on even if once thought lost. When paired with a Pikemen Captain, the soldier’s numbers can seemingly multiply.

House Greyjoy’s influence spreads like the tentacles of the kraken that adorns their banners. While most of their ranks consist of hit-and-run melee units, they know that a force lacking in ranged support is like a fish on a hook. As such, they recruit from their own Ironborn Reavers, teaching them the art of archery and turning them into the Ironborn Bowmen. These archers are equipped with moderate armor, and their previous melee training means they’re not helpless if enemies close in on their position.

They excel in dealing with enemies from the flanks, peppering them with arrows. As they lay waste to enemies, it’s their allies that benefit in more ways than one, able to pick up the spoils left behind from defeated foes.
